Neighbourhood forum meetings
Local Councillors, Police, Derby Homes and other community
partners meet with local residents to discuss issues that are important
to the local community. The meetings (which start at 6.30pm) are as follows:
Wednesday 13th June: Spondon Village Hall, Sitwell Street
Spondon Neighbourhood Board is working on an “accessibility guide” to
Spondon, aimed at the “non-motorists”. We want to show footpaths, cycle
routes, pedestrian crossings, dropped kerbs – anything that will make getting
around Spondon easier for those on foot or bike, in wheelchairs or with
pushchairs. This will publicise one of the priorities of the Board, which has
funded a number of such facilities over the past few years.
As there is no central register of such things, we are looking for volunteers
to research a small area of Spondon and report back to enable us to construct a
map. The more volunteers the smaller the area to research! If you are able to
help with the survey please
”
For further information on the Forum and Board, see the Council
website, or contact the Neighbourhood Manager,
The police are conducting a series of "surgeries", the first Monday
of every month at the Library, Sitwell
Street between 5pm and 7pm. From the October meeting, there will also be members
of the "Safer Spondon" group of the Neighbourhood Board. No appointments necessary - just drop in.
